Bloom X³ Founder & CEO Hiro Kimura Participated in Coolwater Capital’s Investor Summit and Strengthened US Engagement in San Francisco

San Francisco, May 2026 — Bloom X³ Founder & CEO Hiro Kimura, Ph.D., has just concluded an active engagement in the San Francisco Bay Area, including participation in the Investor Summit organized as part of the Emerging Fund Manager Accelerator program run by Coolwater Capital — a San Francisco-based accelerator for emerging venture capital fund managers, often described as “the Y Combinator for emerging VC funds,” having supported 300+ funds globally, $5B+ in capital raised, and 8,400+ startup investments. The Japan cohort of this program is actively driven by JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) in partnership with Coolwater Capital, and Bloom X³ has been selected to participate. The visit also included strategic dialogues with Stanford University-affiliated experts and other US ecosystem partners.

During the Summit, Dr Kimura engaged with a broad cross-section of institutional limited partner candidates and fellow general partners from across the global venture ecosystem. The dialogues confirmed strong international interest in Bloom X³’s investment thesis and incubation strategy, particularly in the life science domain where Dr Kimura’s transpacific track record continues to differentiate the firm.

Among the topics that drew notable interest was the 1102 project, an early-stage incubation initiative within Bloom X³ exploring next-generation therapeutic modalities. The concept received positive evaluation from multiple investors and ecosystem partners, reinforcing confidence in Bloom X³’s differentiated approach to bridging academic innovation and global capital.

Beyond the Summit, the visit also included strategic meetings with Stanford University-affiliated experts, US-based advisors, life science investors, legal and venture counsel in the San Francisco financial district, and longstanding collaborators across the Bay Area. These engagements further strengthened the foundation for forthcoming initiatives across the broader Bloom X³ platform.

In parallel, Dr Kimura continued to deepen his ongoing strategic advisory engagements with promising Silicon Valley life science startups, conducting in-person dialogues with their founders and executive teams during this period. His longstanding transpacific track record and expertise in clinical development and commercialization are highly regarded within the local entrepreneurial community as a core source of guidance for US–Japan market access and global commercialization strategy.

Bloom X³ continues to deepen its US presence and international advisory network, with further announcements anticipated in the coming months.
